1. What We Collect
Handmade Checker processes listing title, description, and main image from Etsy product pages you choose to scan. This data is sent to Google Gemini AI for authenticity analysis. We do not store the listing data on our servers beyond what is cached temporarily on your device (5-minute cache).
2. Account Information
When you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email from Google. We use this solely to identify your account, manage your subscription, and enforce rate limits.
3. Payment Information
Payments are processed entirely through Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe provides us with your subscription status and a customer identifier.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Listing analysis data is sent only to Google Gemini AI and is not retained by Google for model training per their API terms.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained until you delete your account. Analysis history is stored locally in your browser and can be cleared at any time. Cached analysis results expire after 5 minutes.
